The Brow Feathering Consultation is the first step toward your dream brows. This personalised appointment is designed to educate, assess, and create a tailored Brow Feathering plan suited to your features, brow goals, and lifestyle.

During your consultation, your Brow Specialist will guide you through the entire Brow Feathering process, including contraindications, healing, aftercare, maintenance, and what to realistically expect from your results. We’ll also discuss your ideal brow shape, symmetry, colour, and overall aesthetic to ensure your future treatment is completely customised to you.

To help visualise your potential result, we can map and shape your brows using brow powder during the consultation. This provides a soft preview of what your transformed brows may look like. However, final healed results will vary depending on skin type, natural brow hair, and individual pigment retention.

• If you have existing cosmetic tattooing completed elsewhere, we require a clear makeup-free photo sent to the studio before booking your consultation.

• We do not recommend Brow Feathering during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

FYI EXISTING BROW TATTOOS: We are extremely selective when working over existing tattoos and other tattoo artists’ work. Cover-ups and colour corrections are possible in SOME cases. It can be a great solution and relief; however, not all previous work can be fixed or covered. Majority of times the previous brow tattooing will need to be faded significantly in order to proceed. Previous work can be very complicated, time-consuming, and the results are NOT guaranteed. The average eyebrow cover-up/correction usually requires two or more sessions (6-8 weeks apart). Most correction brows require clients’ patience and dedication. Due to the amount of time and work needed to repair a bad permanent makeup tattoo, the cost and number of sessions cannot be predetermined. If you have any previous work done by another artist, you MUST get approval before booking. Please send three (3) clear photos of your full face and eyebrows with no makeup on them, unfiltered, and in natural lighting to 0423028149. After sending your photos, please allow us time, 1-3 business days, for us to get back to you. If, for any reason, you schedule an appointment without approval from our team, and we are unable to proceed, your deposit will be forfeited.

Pre-Care & Instructions

For best results please follow the PRE care (as per the consultation handout).

  • Abstain from caffeine and alcohol 48hrs (or more) prior.
  • Gently exfoliate the brow area 3‑4 days before your appointment.
  • Hydration is key, ensure you’re fully hydrated.
  • Grow your brows ‑ no need to wax, pluck or tint before your appointment.
  • Wash your hair the date prior/to your brow feathering appointment, as healing requires the brows to remain dry while healing.
  • Apply numbing cream 45mins before your appointment.
Numbing cream
Due to health regulations it is a requirement that you attend your appointment with numbing cream applied 1hr – 45 mins before your appointment.

Apply numbing cream with a cue tip (earbud) to the surface of the brow skin. Cover EACH brow with a SMALL rectangle piece of glad wrap to ensure the numbing cream has maximum penetration, do not let plastic fall off, exposing it to air as air will absorb the anesthetic and it won’t have the full numbing effect. You MUST APPLY A PLASTIC cover over the anesthetic. Do not remove. Please bring your numbing cream in also for your secondary application.

This does not require a script ‑ is best (or otherwise any cream carrier).
We strongly recommend you purchase compound pharmacy anaesthetic for all tattooing, for best numbing and pigment retention. Please allow 2-4 days notice for pharmacies to have the cream available for you to collect. The cream is not an off the shelf item and neither is a script required. Brow feathering can transform your tired, overplucked, shapeless brows with the flick of our experienced magical hands and some incredible hair strokes into fabulous, full, shapely natural looking eyebrows – welcoming your brows into the 21st Century.

Brow Feathering is performed with either a microblade or machine nano strokes and is ideal for all skin types.

Brow Feathering is fabulous for any eyebrow thickness; feathering will enhance a thin eyebrow and create a fuller, more shapely brow. But at the same time, only some people necessarily want fuller, fatter brows; we can still keep your brows on the thinner side but create a better brow shape for you.

Brow ‘Feathering’ is used for creating hair strokes/lines in the brow. Feathering can be performed with a microblade or machine; microblading is the actual tool used (when brow feathering).

Eyebrow feathering typically heals in approximately 4 weeks to heal, but of course results vary per individual. Your visual healing is approx 7 days and durig the first 7-10 days you must adhere STRICTLY to the aftercare. During the healing period your eyebrows may appear darker, fatter and the strokes more defined before fading to a more natural, softer, lighter look.

Feathering is considered a more natural-looking technique than ombre brows. Feathering uses a microblade to create the look of hair strokes, while ombre brows involve using a digital hand piece delivering a solid shading technique to create a more dramatic, drawn on brow. Ombre is perfect for people who tend to wear a full face of makeup every day, as Ombre / Powder brows offer a more solid, fully filled in shaded brow. Feathering is the preferred option if you want to achieve a more subtle, natural-looking brow result.

Feathering is a semi-permanent tattoo, lasting approx 10-24 months gently fading over time, depending on the individual’s home care, skin care etc, without fear of the terrible salmon / orange / grey discolouration of the brow pigment. It is highly recommended you return for a Colour Refresh approx each 8-14 months to maintain optimum brow pigment results and brow definition.

Avoid getting the brows wet, refrain from heavy exercise, hot steamy showers, saunas, spas and exposing brows to sun and chemicals during the healing period. This can lead to pigment not being able to stabilise on the skins surface during the healing perios and will result in pigment loss, patchy brow results.  We do not want the brows to scab following feathering as the scab will lift the pigment when it comes off, picking at the brows during healing can also result in infection, scarring, pigment loss and poor results.

TWICE DAILY ; Gently clean the brows with a damp cotton round followed by applying a thin layer of recommended aftercare gel. Avoid exercise, hot steamy showers, saunas, spas, sweating, makeup, sun exposure, and facials for the next 7-10 days.

Benefits of eyebrow feathering is a natural-looking, fuller brow result with delicate fine, hair-like strokes. Results look soft and subtle and the semi-permanent results mean you don’t need to fill your brows daily. Also with the natural brow look the beauty of this is if you want to achieve a more dramatic, bold brow look for the evening your brow shape is there for you to follow and simply add more drama with a darker brow powder – dramatic bold brow look achieved in an instant.

Eyebrows can appear darker and fatter for the first 5-7 days following feathering before the colour begin to soften. The eyebrows take approx 7 days to heal visually and 4 weeks overall healing. In the first 2 weeks is when the most visual changes occur, initially it will appear darker and then the pigment will go lighter, then again the pigment will push back once the skin is healed over the hair stroke we’ve created and the pigment colour returns to the surface.

The only thing you should ever put on the brows whilst they are healing is the aftercare gel which we show you at your first feathering appointment. Do not apply any products, moisturisers, oils of any kind.

Most people tolerate feathering well. Like any pain each individual tolerates pain on varying levels. There can be mild to moderate pain and discomfort during the treatment, we are penetrating the skin albeit its similar to that of a tiny paper cut. The most annoying and uncomfortable feeling clients experience is that feathering feels like when you’re having a hair tweezed it  gives you the sensation of wanting to sneeze or makes your eyes teary. Numbing cream is recommended to help reduce pain, client discomfort is usually very short lived.

The most important thing to consider prior to brow feathering is finding the right place and the brow expert that you feel most comfortable with.. You need someone with years of brow tattooing experience, not just brow sculpting experience. Do your research to find the most reputable places and the brow artist with proven tattooing experience.. Consider your natural brow shape and if feathering will achieve your desired brow goals. Following the brow feathering treatment for a week, be prepared to avoid getting the brows directly wet, no intense, sweaty exercise and ensure no skin care products touch the brows during the healing period. Feathering requires Colour Refresh touch-ups, so ensure you can commit to those appointments and costs.
